memory ram stuff

Hi guys

i need help with something

in one of the computers that i have , i have bought a new mainboard

and i been experimenting some problems

i been looking in the bios setup

and i have finally get to the conclusion that is the memory latency or clocks the problem

and here comes the main problem

i have 8 options to adjust the latency

any help???

You shouldnt have to messs with those settings, usually they are set where they need to be at...

You can try to do a "factory" reset...

1. PUll cmos battery out, wait 1 minute and replace...

or

2. find the "default" reset "button" key ... sometimes its "F12".. this is done while in "bios" mode.

Heya Dragon what brand of board did you get?? and how about the memory? is it the right one for the board or is it slower than it should be?check the manufacturer for details on this
ii see 200 mhz ddr 400 is it ddr 2 0r 3? and how much mem do you have?and is your board 32 or 64 bit

Ps you can change the settings but you must know that its called overclocking your mem and the risk is that
you burn out the memchips if you don't do it the right way Shocked

Can you give us the Memory model #? OR... the numbers and stuff of one of the black chips on the stick plus the make/model and version of the motherboard? I have some really good resources on BIOS settings if you provide the above info.

the memory ram, its a ddr400 mhz model kvr400x64c3a/1g and the sabe but ends in 512 (one module of 512 and one of 1gb)

the problem its that i tried with the default options, and nothing
